Our Lighthouse Cake, Sponge & Steamed Bun Self raising flour is the only bleached flour in our range. Bleached cake flours often provide two advantages:
1. Whiter pigments
Having a whiter pigment, it creates more desirable baked products i.e Steamed bun, as they are traditionally very white.
2. Superior baking performance
Bleached flours also mean that the flour’s surfaces have been oxidised (Chemically combined with oxygen), therefore, it will result in higher volumes and finer grain results.
